Medusa: My Story

Coming soon

But never soon enough

Solitary Longing

It was nighttime when I woke and rose quietly from my bed. My mind was too restless to sleep. I quietly navigated the stone steps that led to the door outside, gently swept through the silent courtyard, and out the gate that led to the water. The air was cool as I walked, and the scent of the sea awakened my soul. I quickened my steps until I was able to touch my toes into the frothy water and there, I closed my eyes and exhaled loudly and with great release. I thought Stheno might have met me with her latest reports of fighting. Or maybe Euryale with her gossip from Olympus and their mortal playthings, but I was alone. If I was honest with myself, I would admit that I had hoped that he would be there.
